A very sensitive retelling of this story by Christine San Josc. This modern fantasy tale is well loved universally. Although there are so many versions of this story.It still has universal appeal.
ReplyDeleteYes it does have many version of the story. however I feel a sense of sympathy and sadness towards the little girl as well as a feeling of relief .

ReplyDeleteYes I felt as if I was apart of the story. They say pictures say a thousand words I guess this book tells it all. You didn't have to read to get an understanding of the story. Great book.

ReplyDeleteThe book is not multicultral as can be observed from the illustrations but does have a universal appeal .It inspires hope and has a strong plot.
ReplyDeleteCAN EVEN BE FOR MY GRADE THREE CLASS WHEN WE ARE DISCUSSING OTHER NEEDS EXAMPLE LOVE SHE NEEDED FROM HER FATHER AND ONLY GOT IT FROM HER GRANDMOTHER.

ReplyDeleteYES BECAUSE SHE WAS ALSO AFRAID TO GO HOME THAT IS WHY SHE SLEPT ON THE ROAD.
ReplyDeleteThis story can be used to show caring and sharing, especially around Christmas time when some people have so much while have very little or nothing at all. It teaches us to have a heart for the less fortunate.
