  6. It has colourful illustrations which will be appealing to all children. It has poems that each-child can relate to and fun reciting it. I has a author which i recognised from previous poetry collections-Robert Louise Stevenson.

  7. The author mr. Lee Hopkins says in his introduction, "Poetry, Indeed, Refreshes the world"! This anthology has universal appeal. Children all over the world can read these poems and relate to them. The illustrations help to extend their thoughts.

  8. Did you know that the poen,"There was an old lady who swallowed a fly"" can also be sung. I could teach you guys.

  10. yes I agree with you Dahlia sometimes I would let the children actually add music or beat to our poem we learn in class. The poems in this book seem we can also add some beat/music. WHAT YOU THINK?

  11. Using rythmn as an accompainment sounds great! Children would love this. A number of poems in the books lend themselves to this rhythemic flow.

  13. Mr Hopkins has also compiled other anthologies, including, " Days to Celebrate, Marvelous Math" which won Parents Choice Gold Award and was a Reading Rainbow selection.

  15. Did you know that Hilary Knight was a male? I have a girl friend by that name. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a picture of him on the internet. An excellent artist who also paints murals for private homes.

  17. I never enjoyed poetry as a child but I do so now. Need to find some more of his anthologies.

  18. This book is approiate for all age level whether pre-k right up to upper school.
